Upon listening to latest episode of Undercooked, Eyeless Jack and Seed Eater for you folks, two ideas I would like to discuss can to me.
Secret Messages in Creepypastas
Origin Stories
I am all for breaking the norm, so let's discuss how we can rewrite the rules and make these work in a creepy fashion.
Maybe an inspired writer may take these ideas we bring and produce some chilling.

David and I are actually looking into "real-life" creepy pastas to create into a midnight marinara. Basically, we are looking at true accounts of creepy stories. One good example, which we will not use since it is already being made into a movie, and has been made into a popular book called "The Devil in White City," is the story of H.H. Holmes who created a hotel in Chicago, during the World's Fair in 1893, to lure people and kill them. He designed the hotel to be a maze, with soundproof bedrooms with gas lines, along with secret rooms, dummy elevators, etc. It was called "The Murder Castle."
Anyone else got any real life creepypasta-like stories?

When I was 13, my mom and I were travelling to MA to see extended family (for the listeners of SYF, this family included my cousin William). She accidentally cut off a car on the highway and the guy turned out to be an off duty cop. He managed to pull us over with a "mobile cop light" he stuck on his truck. He came up to our car wearing nothing but thigh-high level shorts, stained white shirt, and had a heavy duty flashlight on hand. The flashlight was scary since it was a sunny afternoon, so the only reason he would need it would be if he needed a night stick. He told us his daughter was in the car but we couldn't see anyone else in the car. I remember him not having his badge proving himself. It ended with him ticketing my Mom somehow, she was really flustered and was at the point of tears. He was an asshole. The state of Massachusetts up held the ticket, so he must have been legit.
I honestly don't remember much about what was said. However, I actually did feel very uncomfortable. After thinking about it some more, my mom was putting on a brave face but must have been terrified. We were lucky he was an actual cop but you can get those mobile cop lights even if you're are not a cop. Could have gone much differently.

I remember back when I lived in a Japan, a co-worker, native Japanese, told me about murder who was caught outside of amusement park Fuji Q Highlands (home of one the scarriest attractions). He told me that police had received complaints of a rotting smell coming from a house near by. There they discovered chopped up body parts of I don't remember how many people. This house was supposedly located next to this amusement park. Sadly I can't find any info on this. So not sure if he was pulling my leg or this dos really happen.
Want something truely bizarre and a bit scary check out Issei Sagawa

Wasn't "The Song and Dance Man" based off the dancing plague of 1518?
